Welcome to the Amsterdam Kindersymposium 2027
The Amsterdam Kindersymposium (Amsterdam Paediatric Symposium) is an annual scientific symposium dedicated to paediatrics. Each year, it focuses on a current and relevant theme, with leading keynote speakers sharing their perspectives and highlighting the latest developments. The symposium also offers a platform for researchers to present their latest findings in SLAM sessions.

The theme of this edition is From Rare to Recognised. In paediatrics, some children go unseen, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes because they have a rare condition for which knowledge and attention are scarce. Sometimes because obstacles in care, such as language barriers, socioeconomic circumstances or geographical distance, make it difficult for them to find their way to help. And sometimes simply because, as healthcare professionals and researchers, we do not yet know what to look for.

This year, we put these children at the centre. We ask: what do we see, what do we miss, and what does this mean for tomorrow’s care?
